Arunachal Pradesh is rich in its biodiversity by virtue of its wide arrays of flora and fauna spread across the entire territory. It is the ultimate land of orchids with over 500 species of orchid plants blooming extensively. The orchids bear unique names and fragrances. The state also grows exotic species of medicinal plants adding to ailments and economy of the state.
Animals
The unparalleled weather conditions and thick bands of forests make Arunachal Pradesh, the ultimate home to some of the endangered faunal species of the Himalayas. The reserves of the state shelters four major cats that include tiger, leopard, cloud leopard and snow leopard. Other rare species include the golden cat and marbled cat. One can also catch glimpses of the primates species like hoolock gibbon, capped langur, Assamese macaque, slow loris, and much more! The state also shelters a wide variety of birds including white winged duck, Bengal florican, temminck’s tragopan, and so on!
